University of Iowa student-athlete Tyler Linderbaum has signed a check for $30,000, which he’s donating to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
A tweet from the Lisa Linderbaum account shows a photo of Tyler holding an oversized check. The accompanying text says “He kinda did a thing.”
A response tweet from Dr. Alex Bassuk at the hospital says “It was an honor to get to meet @TLinderbaum and accept this generous gift on behalf of @UIowaPeds@UIchildrens from Tyler and his family, friends, and fans. We will use this for excellent care of our patients and discovery of new treatment and cures for pediatric disease!”
Linderbaum is a 6-3 junior center from Solon, Iowa. He is a projected first-round pick in the next NFL draft.
