Drew Kibler drinks AMIN.O. ENERGY® Plus Electrolytes Sparkling Hydration Drink
University of Texas student-athletes Drew Kibler, Christian Bishop, and Chanel Brissett have teamed up with Optimum Nutrition, to promote the sports nutrition company’s new Orange Blast flavor of its AMIN.O. ENERGY® Plus Electrolytes Sparkling Hydration Drink.
The athletes joining Optimum Nutrition for this campaign represent three different sports at the University of Texas:
- Christian Bishop, basketball forward
- Drew Kibler, swimmer
- Chanel Brissett, track and field hurdler and sprinter
The Texas Longhorn student-athletes were selected to promote the Orange Blast flavor because burnt orange is one of the school’s colors.
In a released statement, Jim Hogan, senior brand director at Optimum Nutrition says “Our AMIN.O. Energy ready-to-drink beverage is ideal for busy college students. They are looking for anytime energy to support them through early morning classes, post-lunch classes, practice, workouts, gamedays, late night studying and more.”
The Texas athletes will promote the drink in social and digital media. The campaign will also feature content from current student and alumni social influencers, and distribution of 10,000 samples of the “anytime energy” beverage on and around campus in Austin during major sporting events, finals week, recreational sports activity and other appropriate use-case moments.
Christian Bishop is a senior forward on the Texas Men’s Basketball team. He’s from Lee’s Summit, Missouri. He spent his first three years at Creighton.
Drew Kibler is a senior on the Texas Men’s Swimming and Diving team. He’s from Carmel, Indiana. He’s a 2019 NCAA Champion (800 free relay).
Chanel Brissett is a graduate student on the Texas Track & Field team. She’s from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She won two NCAA individual titles during a three-year stint at USC.
