Twenty of the top baseball players from the 2022 College World Series tournament are celebrated in a special “Omaha Edition” NFT series presented by NFT platform Fanpage and the Athlete Licensing Company (ALC).
Fans and collectors can now purchase a 3D animated baseball with the signature from one or more of their favorite players. Only 100 NFTs from each player will be available. The collection features an assortment of players from Auburn, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Texas, and Stanford.
In a released statement, Fanpage CEO Billy Rodgers says “NFTs are quickly becoming the go-to vehicle for college athletes to monetize their name, image and likeness. It not only offers collectors an opportunity to invest in the future of rising athletes, but also gives fans, alumni and boosters the ability to help support these kids who are bringing immense value to their universities.”
