University of Tennessee student-athlete Jalin Hyatt creates an auction for his 2021 Music City Bowl game-worn jersey.
All proceeds from the auction will be split between Knoxville County Parks & Recreation and Richland County Parks & Recreation, where Hyatt played youth sports in South Carolina.
In a statement on the auction website, Hyatt explains his hopes for the effort: “The proceeds will be applied to the department’s scholarship program to help families that may need help with participation fees and/or safe, reliable equipment. I believe that getting involved in team sports can positively impact the lives of the youth. I want ALL kids to have the same opportunity to experience the life lessons, healthy lifestyle, and fun experiences that come with being part of youth sports.”
Hyatt is a sophomore wide receiver from Irmo, South Carolina. He’s majoring in recreation and sport management.
Purdue beat the Volunteers in the bowl game, 48-45. Hyatt caught 3 passes for 35 yards and 1 touchdown. The winning bidder will also receive a photo of Hyatt’s touchdown reception from the game.
