University of Arizona basketball’s Cate Reese signs an NIL deal with technology e-commerce company Newegg.
Reese is featured on a Newegg.com sales site banner, on promotional videos, and the company’s social media as part of the endorsement. Newegg’s Madness Sale offers extensive basketball-themed promotions and discounts on a variety of product categories throughout March.
In a released statement from Newegg, Reese says “Given my limited free time during the season, I rely heavily on technology to stay focused and productive. Whether it’s schoolwork on my laptop, tracking steps on my smartwatch or trying to win a video game, I’m often ‘plugged in’ when I’m not focused on basketball. Given how integral technology is to my everyday life, it made sense to partner with Newegg.”
Reese is a 6-foot, 2-inch forward from Cypress, Texas. She was named to both the 2022 Naismith Women’s Player of the Year Midseason Team and to the All-Pac-12 Team, her third conference selection. She has not played in a game since suffering the shoulder injury in a conference game collision but is expected to return for the women’s NCAA basketball tournament. Last year, Reese and her teammates finished the season as runners-up, losing by just one point in the national championship game.
Newegg was founded in 2001. The company is based in the City of Industry, Calif., near Los Angeles. The business is a leading global online retailer for PC hardware, consumer electronics, gaming peripherals, home appliances, automotive, and lifestyle technology.
