University of Mississippi student-athlete Shakira Austin offers a new line of branded gear. Austin’s opportunity comes via a collaboration between apparel and gear company Vintage Brand, and sports marketing agency Curran Media Co.
Austin’s gear collection includes tees, sweatshirts, a hoodie, a hat, and a mug.
Shakira Austin is a 6-5 center from Fredericksburg, Virginia. She is on many different watch lists this season, including the Lisa Leslie Award Top-10 Watchlist, the Wade Award Watch List, the Wooden Award Preseason Top-50 Watch List, and the Naismith Award Watch List.
The partnership between Vintage Brand and Curran Media is a non-exclusive agreement to develop and monetize merchandising brands for college athletes. From a released statement by Vintage Brand: “Curran Media Co. is actively working with a select group of partners to expand merchandising opportunities for their NIL athletes. The Vintage Brand technology platform will enable Curran Media Co. athletes to create, build, and develop their personal merchandising brand. The platform provides a turnkey e-commerce store, printing, fulfillment, and customer service. College athletes earn money on every sale from their e-commerce store.”
